Timeless Elegance: The Grand Retro Show 2024
On August 3rd, 2024, the heart of Banská Bystrica — Námestie SNP — became a stage for the 10th anniversary of The Grand Retro Show. Over fifty vintage automobiles, each a masterpiece of engineering and design, arrived in style, accompanied by their owners dressed in period attire that echoed the spirit of the early 20th century. From the legendary Bentley Special of 1937 to the newly restored Tatra 11 from 1924, every vehicle told a story of craftsmanship, speed, and prestige. The atmosphere was enriched by the soulful melodies of BonBon Trio, evoking the charm of Parisian cafés and timeless chanson. The journey continued to the courtyard of Vígľaš Castle, where history met celebration. Music, architecture, and the gleam of polished chrome merged into a living tableau of elegance. These photographs capture not only the vehicles, but the emotion, nostalgia, and grandeur of a day where time stood still.
